  1. Acknowledge this fact and that you will rely on your team’s abilities.
  2. Deepen your technical knowledge by learning from your team members.
  3. Nurture, delegate to, and acknowledge the contributions of one or more assistant team leaders.

Should a leader always be able to do everything their team can do?

No, that’s not typically possible in a team with diverse skills. But leaders should be able to do some of what their team can do, and have a decent understanding of the rest.
