How do I develop leadership skills?

1. Read leadership articles, blogs, sites, and books
2. Listen to podcasts and watch videos from respected leaders
3. Attend leadership development training
4. Look for opportunities to lead, and pursue them
5. Attend and present at leadership conferences
6. Network with other leaders and participate in leadership communities of practice
7. Find a good leader to serve as a mentor
8. Serve as a mentor to other aspiring leaders
9. Emulate the behavior of leaders you admire
10. Ask for suggestions for how to improve as a leader, including from those you lead
